In Pursuit of Jesus Part 1

Oh we try. We try so hard to make life work. We want to be holy and full of life and love. We try to make something out of our lives, something Jesus would approve of. We fight for our relationships, our families, our churches. We fight so hard and yet seem to fail so often. We fight harder, this has to work. We are Christians aren't we? It can't be that hard to be a righteous, spirit filled and led human. And yet we stumble. Families fall apart and churches split. Everywhere you look there seems to be chaos and turmoil. And we wonder why. We cry and get burnt out. And understandably so. Because we have forgotten the most important thing. Is it possible that in the midst of our running to and fro, our doing good deeds and trying to be so holy, is it possible we have forgotten Jesus? Why Chapter 11:11?

Chapter 11:11 was inspired by my love of books, a fascination with 11:11, and the decision to face my fears and start living. ​Life is like a book. Your life begins at Chapter 1, and ends when you die, at the last chapter. And right now, all of us are somewhere in between. And that place can be a little confusing sometimes. We feel like we don't know where to go or what to do. But I also have no time of day for sitting around waiting for my life calling to come to me. I intend on starting. So where do you start? That's where 11:11 comes in. There's a superstitious myth about wishes coming true if you wish them on 11:11. I don't believe that, but again, my hopeless love of the little things in life led me to think that my dreams and goals could be represented by that number. Where do you start?
